In 2009 we once again went back to Cabodare, Venezuela to Iglesia Metodista Unida Ondas de Paz (Waves of Peace United Methodist Church).

Ondas de Paz is a small (approximately 60 adults) but growing church serving a financially poor but committed group of Christians. This year we are returning to build some Sunday School classrooms and to run a Bible School for an orphanage that the Church has adopted.

"When I saw the video from Tucker's first mission in Venezuela I fell in love with the children there.   I wanted to go work and learn from them. I truly believe that people learn about Christ's teaching by seeing people working with others in His name.
 
I went last year as I wanted to do something to praise God for pulling me through a serious illness.  I thought that I would be a blessing to those we came in contact with and we were, but I was also blessed by their spirit and their desire to spread the Word of God. I came home knowing that the "flame has been lit" and if we can be of any help in allowing the fire to spread, then I thank God for the opportunity."

Things Our International Mission Team Appreciated Receiving from the TFUMC Family for Their
Venezuela Mission
 
PRAYER -  We as Christians believe in the power of prayer. This mission does not happen without prayer.
 
FINANCIAL SUPPORT - The costs of this mission have grown each year with increasing airfares, and rampant inflation in Venezuela. Each participant has paid for their own airfare and is taking eight days of their time to support this mission. We appreciate your support for the costs of our tools, the construction supplies, and our vacation Bible School supplies.
 
DONATIONS - We thank you for your donations of children’s clothing and books in Spanish.
