confirmation
The act by which persons who were baptized as infants or young children (or, because of other special circumstances, could not make the baptismal vows themselves) make their first public statement of their declaration or profession of faith. In this sense they confirm their faith.

All youth grades six and up are invited to join the journey to confirmation. Confirmands will be assigned a mentor to lead them and pray for them throughout their journey where they will attend classes on Sundays at 9:45-10:45 from September 18, 2011-May 6, 2012 (taking breaks for long weekends, Christmas break, Spring break, etc.). They will learn the history of the faith and Christian church and their role in the congregation if they choose to become members of Tucker First UMC at the end of this very important process.
Register for confirmation classes by August 31!
